Lisa Krueger

I have always loved to create. I feel God has given me this artistic talent combined with a creative passion to use and share with others. I live in the peaceful backwoods of Tomahawk. The Northwoods and all its beauty is what inspires me, and I capture that beauty on my canvas working in a variety of mediums — watercolor, pastel, acrylic, alcohol ink, and mixed media. I continue to grow as an artist, always experimenting with new techniques and challenging myself with mediums I have not used. What to bring / supplies

A simple landscape reference photo (if using your own, please have it sketched on your paper; a photo will be available that requires little sketching). Professional-grade tube watercolor paint in basic colors; your palette if you have one (otherwise a disposable plate works); 140 lb cold-press watercolor paper approximately 10"x11" (Lisa uses Arches); a board for taping the paper, slightly larger than the paper; clear mailing tape (Lisa uses Scotch brand); brushes such as 2" and 3/4" flat, liner, large and small round, and an old small brush or color shaper for masking fluid; salt, toothbrush, masking fluid, plastic water cup, a water bucket (such as a Cool Whip container), rubber cement pickup, spray bottle, paper towel, a couple pieces of tissue, pencil, eraser, and a palette knife or plastic card for burnishing. Never painted before? No worries! If you are a beginner or would rather not gather supplies, Lisa will bring them for you to use during class for a $15.00 fee paid directly to her. Please specify this option at registration.
